Not only can you post a Standard Listing for free and search for free but even more importantly restaurant "business" opportunities can be searched for and posted but so can restaurant "real property" opportunities. These features are what sets us apart. "Businesses" include things like furniture, fixtures, equipment (F,F, & E), the value of a lease, willingness of the owner to terminate their lease, and possibly the value of the business profits with things like "buyers discretionary income" or "earnings before income taxes, depreciation, and amortization". A "business" is separate from the land, building, or lease although these things may be available in addition to the business.

"Real property" opportunities are restaurant related land, buildings, and shopping center locations, which may or may not be restaurant improved but are always ideally suited for a restaurant. "Restaurant improved" means restaurant related assets such as plumbing, electric, and leasehold improvements are in place because a restaurant was in this location previously. "Real property" opportunities do not include a business to purchase. As example, prospects may be looking for a restaurant business but they may also be open to the idea of finding a restaurant improved shopping center space that is available for lease where a restaurant went out of business.

You see, in 1983 I started as a one-man shop selling restaurant businesses exclusively. My first sale was a $20,000.00 pizza restaurant where the buyer counted out the cash at the completion of the transaction in the kitchen! Anyway, I quickly found out that people were interested in restaurant businesses but they were also interested in locations without having to purchase a business. Twenty plus years and hundreds of restaurant business brokerage, leases, and land and building sales later Kimball & Company - with six intermediaries working full time - is a one stop shop for restaurant people looking for both businesses AND locations in our area. Well, here we are. ( If you've read this far I congratulate you! ) I hope these goals have been reached. By offering a free Standard Listing exchange I feel at minimum we can help a lot of restaurant business or property owners or landlords sell or lease their restaurant opportunity "direct" without paying a dime. That's ok. I call that pay back to an industry that has treated me very well. On the other hand, if a principal restaurant owner, as example, contacts us because they need to find a competent, qualified intermediary we can earn a referral commission by finding the best source to help them. If someone who wants their listing to appear first in search results and wants a better, full page display of their restaurant opportunity we can do that also - by upgrading a listing to a Premium Listing . A Premium Listing does require a monthly investment but If a Premium Listing doesn't get results within the very first month we give the Premium Listing money back.
